This beautiful home is situated overlooking Watts Bar Lake with a
stunning panoramic view. Located in a quiet area away from the
hustle bustle of city life in laid back Spring City, Tn.
This was the heaviest snow Spring City has had in 6 years.
This area gets a few light snows a year and has only had one snow in six
years that made it difficult to get out. The yard is beautifully landscaped
with a white picket fenced area around the house for your four
legged friends or your children. The entire lot size is right at 2 1/2 acres.
There are gorgeous knock-out roses along one side of the fence,
assorted other roses along the inside front and climbing roses that grow
up the arbor at the gate. Flowering trees include, Cleveland Pear trees,
a Kwanza Cherry, three dogwoods and lots of small blooming
plants and bushes. There is a white Crepe Myrtle that blooms in the summer.
Lots of pretty purple irises, dwarf azaleas scattered about and other flowering
plants.

The back view off of the porch is the lake! Watch the bass boats go
speeding by during a Friday or Saturday fishing tournament. See the barge
go slowly by as the tugboat pushes to and from the Watts Bar Plant. See
sail boats, yachts, jet skis, and pontoon boats. Now it sounds pretty busy but
it's a quiet lake and your glimpses of these will be on the weekends and holidays mostly.
Watch gorgeous sunrises as the sun comes up over the mountains from the
other side of the lake. You can see the Smoky Mountains in the distance on
clearer days. You'll enjoy the many faces of the lake and the many different
views of the sunrises.
This home has a chef's or baker's kitchen with built-in microwave and oven and a center island with oven and stove.
Lots of cabinets for storage. There are windows galore facing the lake so you can
watch the world go by as you bake up some tasty treats. A built-in desk makes a
handy place to write a letter, pay a bill, or browse through your favorite cookbooks.
The white cabinetry with oak and white wood rope trim give a nautical feel to the
kitchen. Easy cleaning finish of laminate on the counter tops of blue. Dining area
is next to the kitchen and has a indentation for a buffet and hutch which is included.
The main level hosts the kitchen, master bedroom, laundry room-mud room with half bath,
and living area. There are paddle fans throughout the home
in all rooms. There are two big sliding glass doors to access the porch.

make cleaning a breeze. A traditional gas burning fireplace and sky high ceiling
with lots of windows for a bright cheery feel.
A coat closet for your winter coats is near the front door for handy retrieval.
The master bedroom offers ample room with his and her closets, two outlets for cable at ceiling height.
The bedroom has four windows for enjoying the sunshine and or letting in the cool mountain air.
The master bathroom has a jacuzzi tub for soaking your troubles away and white vanity with large antiqued gold deco mirror.
Also on the main level is a large rocking chair
front and side porch with white picket railing around it.
The upper level has a loft open area suitable for an office or small sitting area, there is also a full bath, and two
bedrooms. There are paddle fans in each bedroom and the loft.
Internet wiring installed. One bedroom closet is equipped with craft type shelving
perfect for the seamstress, quilter, crafter or hobbyist. It has a beautiful view of the lake.
The bedrooms and loft have carpeting and the bathroom has medium oak
laminate flooring with white vanity, mirror and shower. There is a thermostat on this
level that uses the second air/conditioner heating unit.
Downstairs in the basement is a kitchenette which we've added extra portable storage.
Complete with stove, refrigerator, and sink.
There is a large living area, room for a dining area, and a space enough for a desk.
There is an open area for a second bedroom but this temporary wall that can be taken down if you
want the area open.
There are two big closets in that room. Would make a nice area for workout
equipment or pool table. The main bedroom is a day sleeper's dream. Close the door and it is pitch black!
A great safe place to go to during storms too. The basement has two large sliding doors for
a great view of the lake.
The two car garage is partially insulated as the first owner lived in the upstairs apartment as they were building
the home and their daughter had her bed in it. There are two separate garage doors with
automatic openers. It stays cool in the summer which is great for storage.
A built in workbench and shelving add utility. A small lean-to is built onto
the back of the garage for quick access to lawnmowers, yard tools etc. Many possibilities for
it's usage. Above the garage is a fully furnished one bedroom apartment with washer and dryer. A bright
kitchen, and full bath w/shower. There is a large deck with wrought iron table and chairs and
new umbrella. Parking under the deck.
There is a large concrete driveway with three entrances and an additional parking area. Also
there is a large shed and a carport. There is a commercial lamp post with detachable flag poles on either side.
Out by the road is also another smaller lamppost to light your way into the driveway.
We've done a lot to the place since we bought it, making it our own.
The basement can also be a rental as it has a private entry and private access to the laundry room.
We have rented it many times. Along with the garage apartment rental you can part your mortgage!
There are many acres of woods around that with permission you can hunt on.

Spring City is a small town nestled in the rural Cumberland Mountains of Rhea County, Tennessee. Rhea County is not located along any major interstate, but it is easy to reach. And, once there, it’s well worth the trip! From Chattanooga, if you take I-24 to Highway 27 North, the drive through Hamilton County to Rhea County is beautiful. This is mountain wilderness country, with lakes, forests, rock formations, gorges, springs and waterfalls. Spring City is home to Watts Bar Lake/Watts Bar Dam, which is a 39,000-acre lake with 771 miles of beautiful, rustic shoreline. The lake has superb fishing, and also has swimming and other water sports, boating, camping and hiking. The Spring City Boat Dock & Marina has pontoon and fishing boat rentals, a tackle and bait shop, camper hookups and a full service restaurant. The Stinging Fork Pocket Wilderness, located five miles northwest of Spring City, and Twin Rocks Nature Trail, located about one mile northwest of Spring City, both have hiking trails with unusual rock formations, deep gorges, forests and waterfalls. A short drive from Spring City takes you to The Cumberland Trail, Rock City and Lookout Mountain, Ruby Falls, The Museum of Science and Energy in Oak Ridge and the Rugby Historic Center.

These spacious lakes form the mainstream of the Tennessee River as it begins its 650-mile journey to the Ohio River. Suited to any type of boat from sailboats to the larger cruisers, these lakes have attracted vacationers for over 45 years.
Watts Bar Lake provides 783 miles of shoreline for fishing, boating, swimming, camping, hiking and skiing. Boat docks and ramps are numerous throughout Roane County as well as TVA and commercial campsites for year round pleasure. Area marinas provide 500 boat slips, large and small boat rentals, houseboats, cabins, and supplies.
Watts Bar Lake unlimited coves and islands with natural sand beaches make an ideal lake for all water sports. It is fed by three major rivers and at least six large creeks. Anglers may choose from wide-open flats to narrow winding river channels in which to fish. There are plenty of jumbo crappie as well as lunker largemouth and small mouth bass and trophy stripers. The abundance of most types of fresh water fish will provide lasting memory for the avid fisherman.

There is never a bad time to fish Watts Bar Lake it's told, but the fish do seem to bite better during certain times. Here's a handy chart that may help you catch your limit!
Smallmouth Bass - October through December.
Bluegill (bream) - Summer.
Willowfly (an insect used for fishing) - July.
Crappie - Spring and fall.
Catfish - June, July, August. June while spawning.
White Bass - August, September.
Striped bass (rockfish) - October, November, Moon Island. Thief Neck Island and below dam in spring and fall.
Sauger - Below dam November through February.
